Cable Landing Station

This Project represents a critical piece of network infrastructure for the Sunshine Coast Council and Vertiv to open Australia’s first land-based international Broadband Submarine Cable Facility. The foundation of this new technology is the high-speed, high-quality fibre optic network which will be built into the city’s underground infrastructure.

Verve Building Design Co. were engaged as a part of the Design & Construct team by valued clients, Lanskey Construction.  Verve coordinated with all key stakeholders and other design disciplines to prepare a comprehensive set of detailed design construction drawings.  Providing ongoing support to our client through out the build, Verve was able to address any challenges that arouse on site to assist in the expedient delivery of the project. Timing was of the essence for the facility to be ready mid-Sept to receive the international cabling from overseas stations in Japan, LA, Hong Kong and Guam.  This impressive building is the result of a collaboration of quality construction & design professionals and will maintain it’s presence in the region for years to come.

Features include:

  • 1200m² site development
  • Integrated modular buildings
  • Transmission rooms and fire separated compartments to service multiple communication providers
